The MFAP is a free, confidential, and anonymous program which offers short-term counselling and support related to a wide variety of issues including relationship, depression and anxiety, stress management, trauma, grief and bereavement, work and family balance, parenting, gambling, substance use and work-related problems. It can also offer support in areas of childcare and eldercare, financial and legal consultation.

The MFAP is independently administered by our chosen service provider – Homewood Health.

The MFAP is also available to your family members which includes spouse (as defined by the Plan) and children (i.e. dependent children up to the age of 21 living at home and/or up to the age of 25 attending a full-time educational institution). Family members can independently access the program.

Homeweb, is also part of your MFAP. This is a digital platform that you can access Homeweb on your phone, tablet, or desktop. Homeweb offers the ability to create an individual profile, receive personalized content recommendations, and access lots of helpful resources. 

The MFAP is completely confidential. Homewood Health will not release to the Board of Trustees of the OPCC Health Benefits Trust Fund, Manion as the Third-Party Administrator or any other service provider information pertaining to who has accessed the program.
